A keen sportsman since a child, coming from a football and then rugby background as a player. Became a Fitness Instructor in 1988 and I have been involved in delivering fitness training and sports coaching ever since. In 1996, I became interested in multi-sport events, competing in the Rowathlon at Palmer Park, Reading. Completed ASA Assistant Teachers Course in February 1997 and became an active swim coach. This led to swim coaching at Army Triathlon training camps as my interest for the sport grew. This interest soon turned to a passion and I became a British Triathlon qualified coach in 2001. I have gained a wealth of experience in planning and delivering fitness and sport specific training for over 23 years, and love coaching as much as participating. I have competed at all distances and achieved some respectable results, including representing the GB Age Group team at the World Championships. I have also become involved with the Guyana National Cycling Team as a coach. I was privileged to travel to the CAC Sports Games in Puerto Rico, as well as the Commonwealth Games in Delhi and Glasgow with the country's team. I also acted as Team Manager at the Pan Am Cycling Champs in Colombia and the UCI Cycling World Champs in Denmark in 2011.
